Joshua Paul Hooks

Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Who You Are Actually Talking To

Started from nothing. Built it. Sold it. More than once.

Joshua Paul Hooks did not inherit a business or buy his way into one. He flew to China with money from a car he restored and sold, convinced a factory to send him prototypes, and built Lithium Ion Technologies from those samples into a profitable company he later sold.

He then built one of the first low speed electric vehicles now common in neighborhoods across the country and sold that brand in 2018. He has served as CEO of a national EV company, brought foreign manufacturers into the US market, and today holds ownership positions across food and beverage, manufacturing, consumer products, and technology.

He has also lost a business to circumstances entirely outside his control and rebuilt from it. That matters more than the wins when you are the one making the hard call, and it is the reason he does not hand out theory.

When you qualify for a session, you are talking to him. Not a sales representative working from a script.

The Network Behind the Session

You are not getting one opinion. You are getting access to a bench.

Behind IBG sits a network of operators, investors, attorneys, manufacturers, and category specialists built over two decades of building brands. When your situation calls for expertise Joshua does not personally hold, he has a team on speed dial of 30+ Strategic Advisors, including these faces you may recognize.

The Process

Here is exactly how this works.

1

Right now, 2 minutes

Answer six questions. You will know immediately whether a session makes sense for where your business is today.

2

Immediately after

Pick your time from the sessions currently available this month.

3

Before your session

Two minute prep form so Joshua walks in already knowing your situation. He reviews your website, your market’s search demand, and your top competitors in advance. No session starts from zero.

4

Your session, 30 minutes

Ten minutes on where you are. Ten on the real constraint. Ten on the moves he would make first. Direct with Joshua.

5

Within 24 hours after

A written one page summary of your constraint, the opportunities identified, and the ninety day sequence. Yours to keep and act on, whether or not you ever work with us.

2 min 14 sec.

How We Think About Growth

Watch this before you apply. Two minutes.

  • What thirty minutes with Joshua actually looks like, and who is in the chair.
  • How we decide whether to send a proposal, or tell you to keep the plan and run.
  • Why the businesses we want to work with are found in conversations, not inboxes.
Our Value

Four ways working with us changes your numbers.

MONEY

You stop paying for marketing and overhead that does not produce. We cut the waste, rebuild the systems that generate revenue, and open access to our advisory and investor network.

TIME

You skip the trial and error. We have already made the expensive mistakes in these industries, which means you get to the decision instead of grinding toward it.

RISK

You get experienced oversight on decisions that are hard to reverse. Market entry, capital raises, hiring, positioning. We have been on the wrong side of all of them and we know where the traps are.

STATUS

You gain credibility you can use. Our leadership team, advisory network, and positioning work directly affect how investors, partners, and buyers perceive your company.

Clients pay $1,250 for this much of Joshua's advisory time. We are not discounting it. We are investing it, because the businesses we want to work with are found in conversations, not in inboxes.

In the Field

Factory floors, trade show booths, and boardrooms.

We are not a firm that sends you a strategy document and disconnects. This is what our work actually looks like.

The Model

Not an agency. Not a consultancy. A hybrid growth engine.

Iconic Brand Group is the bridge between strategy, execution, and capital.

Operators First

We have started, built, scaled, and sold businesses ourselves. Our advice comes from real world experience, not theory.

Boutique Partnership Model

We take on a limited number of clients. We work shoulder to shoulder, and in some cases we take equity and put our own capital at risk alongside yours.

Business First, Not Marketing First

Every recommendation is made for the long term strength of the business, not to justify marketing activity.

Do You Qualify

See if you qualify for an Operator Session.

Six questions. Two minutes. You will know immediately.

01

Operating for twelve months or longer, or funded and preparing to launch

02

Generating revenue, or holding capital to deploy

03

The person on the session can make decisions

04

Willing to act on something within the next ninety days

We are not screening you. We are making sure thirty minutes is enough to be useful to you. Businesses in the wrong stage waste their own time and ours.

Case Study — Ready Pool

The Situation

A startup manufacturing swimming pools out of shipping containers. Zero credibility, almost no lead flow.

What We Built

IBG built the website from the ground up, created the content strategy and social presence, networked with industry influencers, and architected programmatic SEO.

The Result

An explosion in engagement and form submissions, reaching over $11M in monthly lead generation and first-year revenue over $10 million.

Inbound lead volume

Indexed to month one. First twelve months after launch.

We were a startup business with zero credibility and little to no lead flow. We were nervous to take the leap with IBG because of the investment, but our gamble paid off in a huge way. We hit the jackpot with Iconic Brand Group.

Robert Foster, Owner, Ready Pool
Capabilities

Strategy and execution under one roof.

We name the constraint, then build the operating plan around it. You leave with priorities, owners, and a sequence, not a binder of options.

Positioning, offer, channel, and the order of operations for the first twelve months. The goal is a launch that does not have to be undone.

We build pages and systems that capture search demand you already have a right to win, then keep compounding after the campaign ends.

Paid media that is accountable to contribution margin, not vanity metrics. Creative, landing, and follow-up treated as one system.

The handoff from interest to revenue is where most firms leak. We close the gaps in pipeline, follow-up, and the sales conversation itself.

We put AI on the work that is eating hours, not on a slide titled innovation. Time back, fewer dropped balls, tighter operations.

How the market should see you, and the assets that make that perception stick. Built for buyers, investors, and partners, not just ads.

The story, the numbers, and the materials a serious investor expects. We prepare the raise so you are not improvising in the room.

Distribution, compliance, branding, and the relationships required to sell here. We have brought manufacturers into the US market before.

The business has to run when you are not in the room. We write the operating system so growth does not depend on heroics.

Most engagements combine several of these. We scope to the constraint, not to a package.

Questions Operators Actually Ask

Direct answers. No soft pedal.

We find the businesses we want to work with in conversations, not in inboxes. Some of these sessions turn into engagements. Most do not, and we are fine with that. Session value is $1,250 of Joshua’s advisory time. No cost to you.

Joshua runs a consulting firm, a portfolio of operating companies, and sits on nonprofit boards. The businesses IBG wants to work with are found in conversations. Thirty minutes invested here is how those conversations start.

You are talking to Joshua Paul Hooks, not a sales representative working from a script. He reviews your website, your market’s search demand, and your top competitors before you sit down. You leave with a written one-page summary of your constraint, the opportunities, and a ninety-day sequence.

Nearly every legitimate business qualifies. We are not screening you. We are making sure thirty minutes is enough to be useful. If you are operating, generating revenue or holding capital to deploy, and can make decisions, you are in the right place.

If your problem is outside our lane, we will tell you who is in it. Behind IBG sits a network of operators, investors, attorneys, manufacturers, and category specialists. That network is the reason a firm our size can take on almost any goal a business brings us.

Advisory time is billed at the rate that makes the $1,250 session value honest: that is thirty minutes at Joshua’s advisory rate. Full engagements are scoped to the constraint, not a package, and typically run from project retainers in the mid five figures to longer operating partnerships. We will tell you the range that fits your situation in the session. Equity is a separate conversation and is never required.

In some cases we take equity and put our own capital at risk alongside yours. It is not required. It is reserved for situations where we are operating inside the business, not advising from the sideline. Most clients never take this path.

Joshua Paul Hooks. Founder and CEO. Not a sales representative. When you qualify for a session, you are talking to him.
